Michele is a phenomenal pet sitter!

Right from our initial interview, Michele said she wanted the cat’s routine to stay the same. She said she wanted them to have the comfort of familiarity while I was away from home. She also said she likes to get down on the pet’s level, sitting on the floor with them. Michele does just that!! During each visit she sent me beautiful pics of Leo and Lily, shot from the floor, down on their level. The pics were much appreciated, plus I got to see them from an angle I had not seen before. The pics allow me to feel that I am still connected to my pets on a daily basis and eliminates some of the reservations I have at leaving them. Also, Michele gives each cat individualized attention, and stays with them for 30 minutes after they eat, alleviating their loneliness and stimulating them with games and toys. When Michele comes for visits, Leo runs to greet her at the door, and shy Lily lets Michele brush and pet her.

Now when I have a trip planned to visit family or take a vacation, I don’t have to worry about Leo and Lily. They will be taken care of just like I was at home, and I will get beautiful pictures that show how happy they are.

Michele, owner of Forever Home Pet Care, is amazing! She took time to get to know our cat and understand his personality. She looked after him during Thanksgiving weekend. She sent us pictures of him and let us know that he was happy while we were away. She is thorough and loving.

I’m excited about Michele beginning a pet sitting business and wanted to share that I would definitely entrust my pets to Michele for all their care.  In fact, I already have, and will do so again if the opportunity presents itself.  Since Michele and I are neighbors I have left my pets at home and Michele has come to my house in my absence.  For my pets Michele makes several trips per day to exercise, feed and toilet my dog(s), and feed and clean the litter box as necessary for my cat.  Michele also makes sure the common water bowl is clean and full.  (In truth, this all started many years ago with Michele’s children as a way for them to earn some spending money.  Michele would accompany them and handle “security.”) 

Michele doesn’t just take excellent care of my pets.  Michele is very open to handling other tasks I might need done.  And very importantly, Michele is very security conscious.  I have given Michele what she needs to open/lock my home as necessary, and I have no reservations in doing so.  If I am gone on garbage day, or if the deck flowers need to be watered, all I have to do is ask.   

Michele has a warm place in her heart for animals and has had dogs and cats in her household for as long as I’ve known her and her family.  Over the past 2 years or so Michele has also fostered a number of canines and felines, including a dog with puppies and a cat with kittens.  Taking care of a litter of either is one thing, but 2 is absolutely proof positive that Michele is serious about providing excellent care for any animals in her charge.

We have two recently adopted cats, Dash and Dot.  Since we’re still learning about their personalities, it gave us pause to find someone to care for them during an upcoming trip.  I found Michele on PetSit.com.  What a great find! Michele met with us and the cats.  She asked a lot of questions and took notes.  We hired her without hesitation.  We established days and times for her visits.  Michele always arrived on time. She fed and watered the cats, cleaned their litter, and played with them.  She even sent updates and pictures in text.  It was a relief to see the cats thriving in our absence. We came home to detailed notes for each visit.  

We’re looking forward to our next trip because we know we can leave Dot and Dash in Michele’s capable and caring hands.
